Capture 10 rare battle pets.

Lots of Rarity requires you to capture 10 rare-quality battle pets, identified by a blue-colored border around their icon during pet battles.

1

Identify Rare Pets In Battle

During a pet battle, look at the enemy pet icons — a blue border means the pet is Rare quality. Grey indicates Poor, white indicates Common, and green indicates Uncommon.

2

Use Macros To Check Rarity

If you prefer a macro, run this once at login to automatically display pet rarity in chat when a battle starts: /run hooksecurefunc("PlaySoundKitID", function(Q) if Q==31584 then for i=1,C_PetBattles.GetNumPets(2) do SELECTED_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(C_PetBattles.GetName(2,i).." - ".._G["BATTLE_PET_BREED_QUALITY"..C_PetBattles.GetBreedQuality(2,i)]) end end end). Running it more than once will produce duplicate messages in chat.

3

Capture 10 Blue-Border Pets

Capture any 10 pets that display a blue border, and all 10 will count toward the achievement. You can capture up to 3 rare copies of the same species and each captured rare counts toward your progress.

Tips

  • You can check which zones a pet appears in by opening the pet abilities window in the Pet Journal and mousing over the icon above the pet's picture, helping you target higher-level zones to capture stronger rare pets.
