Newbie
Raise a pet to level 3.
The 'Newbie' achievement requires you to raise a pet to level 3 through actual combat, earning you a second Pet Battle Slot and a Pet Trap.
Level a pet to 3
You must actively level a pet to reach level 3 — capturing an already level 3 pet does not count toward this achievement. Capturing a level 2 pet and raising it one level is a valid way to complete this.
