Kill 60 Krik'thik Hivelings with a single Shado-Pan torch.
Spreading the Warmth requires killing 60 Krik'thik Hivelings with a single Shado-Pan torch, earned by accepting the quest Mantid Under Fire and using oil cauldrons to maximize the number of enemies burning simultaneously.
Pick Up The Quest
Accept the quest Mantid Under Fire from Kun Autumnlight at 21.4, 71.6 to receive access to the oil cauldrons and torch.
Go To The Cauldrons
Head to the top of the wall and locate the cauldrons on the right side of the gate when facing the large tree in Dread Wastes, where roughly 3-4 groups of Krik'thik Hivelings stand close together with additional loose mobs nearby.
Spread Oil Liberally
Throw oil on as many Hivelings as possible, covering grouped mobs, singles running between groups, and mobs standing directly in front of the gate and walls. Use multiple cauldrons to extend your oil coverage across the area.
Throw One Torch Only
Throw a single torch at the mobs in the very center of the oiled group — throwing a second torch resets the achievement counter, so throw only one and do not throw any additional torches after that.
Let NPCs Finish Them
After throwing your single torch, continue applying oil to newly arriving mobs and allow the Shado-Pan archers and Pandaren on the wall to light and kill the oil-covered Hivelings — kills made by other players or NPCs on oiled mobs still count toward your total. Removing your armor reduces damage output, which causes mobs to run further and keeps more of them in the oiled area longer.
Tips
Other players' torches used on mobs you have oiled grant you kill credit, so overlapping with other players actively doing this quest accelerates progress significantly.
Throwing a second torch resets the achievement counter — use only one torch per attempt and rely on NPCs and other players for additional kills.
