Finish the Sky Race with 10 stacks of the Fleet Winds buff.
In a Trail of Smoke is a 10-point achievement earned by crossing the Sky Race finish line while holding 10 stacks of the Fleet Winds buff, which is gained by flying through smoke rings during the race.
Complete the Prerequisite Chain
Start the quest 'They Grow Like Weeds' from Elder Anli to unlock the Sky Race daily. The daily becomes available the following day after finishing this chain.
Wait for the Daily
The Sky Race daily is not always active, so check back on subsequent days until 'The Sky Race' daily quest appears.
Collect 10 Fleet Winds Stacks
During the race, fly through the smoke rings to gain stacks of Fleet Winds — you need exactly 10 stacks. Flying through a ring after reaching 10 stacks will refresh the buff duration rather than increasing the count further.
Cross the Finish Line
Fly under the finish line while holding 10 stacks of Fleet Winds to earn the achievement. You do not need to have hit every checkpoint — crossing the finish line with the stacks is sufficient.
Tips
If an attempt goes poorly, you can abandon the daily quest and pick it up again to retry without waiting for a reset.
