Wait for First Wave
A few seconds after Brewmaster Bo arrives at the cauldron, the starter wave of Hozen will spawn. Stay near the cauldron and do not move toward the beach yet.
Defend Through Five Waves
After seeing the chat message 'Hozen ships appear in the distance!', groups of Hozen will land at the beach. This repeats five times before a final wave message appears — hold your position at the cauldron through all five waves.
Watch for Camouflaged Hozen
Some Hozen will spawn behind you using camouflage and attempt to sneak directly to the cauldron — turn around periodically to intercept them before they reach it.
Use the Cannon and Bombs
Place bombs in a horizontal line from the cannon to the bomb stockpile as a barricade, replacing them as they reset. Use the cannon to sink incoming boats, aiming just ahead of each ship to account for movement, starting from the right side since Hozen on the right will quickly move out of cannon range once they land.
Collect Brew After Waves End
Once the final wave message appears and all Hozen are defeated, you will be instructed to collect Jungle Brew for Bo — only then should you leave the cauldron unattended and head into the jungle to gather the brew.
Split Roles in a Group
If running with a group and struggling to defend, assign one player to collect brew in the jungle while the remaining two stay at the cauldron to keep Hozen away, including those sneaking in from the back.
Tips
At level 100 this can be soloed — after the five waves the Hozen stop approaching the cauldron entirely, so the brew collection phase is safe to do without any threat.
