Gruul's Lair
Defeat Gruul the Dragonkiller in Gruul's Lair.
Gruul's Lair is a raid achievement worth 10 points, earned by defeating Gruul the Dragonkiller inside Gruul's Lair.
Defeat High King Maulgar
Before reaching Gruul, you must clear the first boss room. Kill Kiggler the Crazed first to remove his polymorph, then Olm the Summoner to remove the fear, followed by Blindeye the Seer and Krosh Firehand, and finally High King Maulgar. Note that the first group of trash cannot be skipped and will cycle between Horrify and Polymorph effects, so be ready to push through.
Defeat Gruul the Dragonkiller
After clearing the Maulgar encounter, proceed deeper into the lair and defeat Gruul the Dragonkiller. At max level this is a straightforward tank-and-spank fight. Defeating him completes the achievement.
Tips
If you already have the meta-achievement that includes Gruul's Lair, the achievement may be credited automatically without needing to loot specific items.
