Scholomance: Gold
Complete the Scholomance Challenge Mode with a rating of Gold.
Scholomance: Gold requires completing the Scholomance Challenge Mode dungeon with a Gold rating, rewarding the 'Path of the Necromancer' teleport spell that instantly transports you to Scholomance.
Skip Professor Slate's Room
Avoid killing Professor Slate and most packs in his room to save at least a full minute on the run. If you want the Polyformic Acid Potion buff he provides, obtain it on a separate heroic run by looting the empty vial off Slate, which grants three additional applications and lasts an hour through death.
Skip Instructor Chillheart's Trash
Kill only the first two mobs in the instance, then jump over the balustrade to pull Instructor Chillheart before you hit the ground — he must enter combat while you are still airborne or additional mobs will join the fight. During the boss fight, never move sideways; stay on a single line between Instructor Chillheart and the entrance.
Handle Jandice Barov's Copies
Tank Jandice Barov in the previous sub-room with the Candlestick Mages so that when she splits into copies, they despawn quickly and she reappears in seconds, saving significant time. Jandice Barov summons her copies twice during the fight, so maintaining this positioning for both splits is important.
Defeat Darkmaster Gandling
Apply the Polyformic Acid Potion buff before engaging Darkmaster Gandling to speed up the kill. If you skipped Professor Slate during this run, use a buff obtained from a prior heroic attempt.
