Realm First! Zen Master Angler
First person on the realm to achieve 600 skill in fishing.
Realm First! Zen Master Angler is awarded to the first player on the realm to reach 600 fishing skill after Mists of Pandaria launches.
Train Fishing at Level 5
Fishing training only requires level 5, so you do not need to be max level to compete — a level 33 druid has claimed this achievement, and low-level characters are viable.
Equip Fishing Gear
Equip your best fishing pole and fishing hat before the server goes live, such as the Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat and Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole, to be ready the moment the server is available.
Fish in a Capital City
Fish immediately when the server goes live — one player reached 600 skill after approximately 1 hour 45 minutes of fishing in Stormwind, while another on Dragonblight took roughly 1 hour 40 minutes.
Watch for Server Timing
Servers have been known to go live several minutes early, so be logged in and positioned at your fishing spot ahead of the expected launch time to avoid missing the opening window.
Tips
On at least one realm (Scilla), two players received the achievement simultaneously, so if another player appears to be neck-and-neck with you, continue fishing as ties are possible.
