The Collector's Edition: Frost Wyrm Whelp achievement is earned by owning the Frost Wyrm Whelp pet, which is obtained exclusively by upgrading your World of Warcraft account with a Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition key.
Upgrade Account With CE Key
Use a Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition key to upgrade your account through Blizzard's account upgrade form. A standard Wrath of the Lich King key will not grant the pet — the account must be upgraded specifically with the Collector's Edition key.
Retrieve Pet From In-Game Mail
After upgrading, an item that teaches the Frost Wyrm Whelp will be sent via in-game mail to every character currently on your account and to any new characters you create in the future, across all realms under that account.
Learn Pet On Each Character
The item is Bind to Account and does not disappear from your inventory after learning, so you can collect multiple copies and distribute them to characters across your account as needed.
Tips
If you migrate a character to a second account, the item travels with them and can be mailed to characters on that second account manually, though new characters on the second account will not receive it automatically.
