Find Battle Pets in Storm Peaks
Storm Peaks has very sparse battle pet spawns due to phasing and weather-dependent spawns. Head to 27.77, 74.47 on the edge of Frosthold — target non-battle-pet Mountain Skunks and Arctic Hares and kill them to prompt a battle pet spider to appear near the pine trees within a couple of minutes.
Try the Canyon Ledge Spot
At 60.5, 57.9 — the canyon ledge between Brunnhildar Village and Dun Niffelem above Hibernal Cavern — watch for Arctic Hares or Mountain Skunks with a battle pet paw icon. Swooping down and interacting immediately is necessary due to phasing. Binding your 'Interact with Target' keybind helps react quickly when a battle pet appears.
Use an Unphased Character
If phasing from completed quests blocks battle pet spawns, switch to a character that has not done Storm Peaks quests. A character around level 71 or higher who has not quested in Storm Peaks can fly from Dalaran toward K3 at 32.9, 86.1 and find Arctic Hares or Mountain Skunks available to battle and capture without phasing issues.
Tips
Battle pets are account-wide, so capturing on any character counts toward the achievement — use an alt that has not completed Storm Peaks quests to avoid phasing issues entirely.
