Capture a battle pet from each family.

Family Reunion requires you to capture one battle pet from each pet family in the wild — pets already owned, learned from objects, or obtained from raid drops do not count toward this achievement.

1

Capture Aquatic Family Pets

Low-level frogs and crabs are found throughout many zones and are among the easiest Aquatic pets to capture for this achievement.

2

Capture Beast and Critter Pets

Beast and Critter pets are abundant in every starting zone, making these two families the quickest to complete.

3

Capture a Dragonkin Pet

The Infinite Whelpling can be found at the entrance to the Caverns of Time in Tanaris at level 13, with multiple spawns available. Alternatively, the Nether Faerie Dragon near Dire Maul in Feralas spawns between levels 10 and 12, and the Spawn of Onyxia is available near Onyxia's Lair in Dustwallow Marsh at level 12.

4

Capture a Humanoid Pet

A level 3 Harpy Youngling can be found in the Dry Hills area of the Northern Barrens and counts as a wild capture for the Humanoid family.

5

Avoid Non-Capture Sources

Pets obtained from raid boss drops, such as the Corefire Imp, or learned from any source other than an actual in-battle wild capture do not count toward Family Reunion — only pets captured directly during a pet battle qualify.
