Catch every battle pet in Kalimdor.

Kalimdor Safari requires you to catch every battle pet found across Kalimdor's zones, rewarding 5 achievement points upon completion.

1

Filter Uncollected Pets First

Open your Pet Journal and set the filter to show only uncollected pets, then type each zone name to see which pets you still need. Focus on pets unique to a single zone before collecting those shared across multiple zones.

2

Collect Low-Level Zone Pets

Begin in the starter zones where pets are levels 1-2: catch the Grey Moth in Azuremyst Isle, the Creepy Crawly and Spiny Lizard in Durotar, the Gazelle Fawn in Mulgore, and the Crested Owl in Teldrassil.

3

Progress Through Mid-Level Zones

Move into zones with pets at levels 3-9: catch the Turquoise Turtle in Azshara, the Ravager Hatchling in Bloodmyst Isle, the Darkshore Cub and Shimmershell Snail in Darkshore, the Cheetah Cub and Harpy Youngling in Northern Barrens, the Frog and Rusty Snail in Ashenvale, the Coral Snake and Venomspitter Hatchling in Stonetalon Mountains, and the Giraffe Calf in Southern Barrens.

4

Account for Seasonal Restrictions

This achievement cannot be completed year-round because the Qiraji Guardling only spawns during the in-game summer season, while the Snowy Owl only spawns during the in-game winter season. You must collect each pet during its respective season, meaning this achievement requires waiting across multiple seasons to complete.

Tips

  • If you catch a pet that appears in multiple continents, the catch counts toward all applicable Safari achievements simultaneously, so cross-continent pets do not need to be caught twice.
