Rookie Pet Mob
Raise 75 pets to level 10.
Rookie Pet Mob requires you to raise 75 pets to level 10, meaning you must level them up yourself — capturing 75 pets that are already level 10 does not count toward progress.
Capture Level 9 Pets
Capturing level 9 pets and raising them to level 10 is a valid and efficient strategy. The Cape of Stranglethorn is a strong location for this, with many level 9 crabs along the shore, plus various secondary pets that appear once you have the maximum number of crabs.
Use Eastern Kingdoms Pet Tamers
Bring two low-level pets (around level 4) alongside a level 25 pet and defeat the Eastern Kingdoms pet tamers in order. Defeat each tamer first before picking up the specific tamer daily quest, then fight that tamer again — optionally with two fresh low-level pets — to get double credit. Five tamer battles can bring four level 4 pets up to level 10.
Protect Low-Level Pets in Valley of the Four Winds
Valley of the Four Winds is a solid leveling zone due to its abundance of critter enemies, which a Beast-type pet can handle without needing to heal between fights. Since critters cannot be stunned or put to sleep, use pets with barrier or decoy abilities — such as Darkmoon Zeppelin, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, Mr. Bigglesworth, Snowy Panda, Coilfang Stalker, or Spectral Porcupette — to shield your low-level pet from damage when it is swapped in.
Tips
Capturing level 9 pets instead of level 1 pets dramatically reduces the time needed to hit level 10 for each pet counted toward this achievement.
Do NOT accept the pet tamer daily quest before defeating the tamer the first time — defeat the tamer first, then pick up the daily and fight again to count two separate battles and level two additional pets in one visit.
