Rookie Pet Crew
Raise 30 pets to level 10.
Rookie Pet Crew requires you to raise 30 pets to level 10, meaning you must level them up yourself — capturing 30 already-level-10 pets does not count toward the achievement.
Capture Level 9 Wild Pets
Capturing wild pets at level 9 and then earning one level of experience to push them to level 10 is a valid and efficient method — nothing in the game prevents this shortcut from working toward the achievement.
Use Daily Tamer Quests
The Battle Pet Tamers: Kalimdor quest chain (available to both Alliance and Horde) resets daily and is one of the fastest ways to level multiple pets at once. Bring a level 25 pet that can solo the tamers — the Celestial Dragon works well due to its self-healing — then swap in your sub-level-10 pets to collect experience. Avoid swapping into a fight where the enemy tamer's pet uses abilities that prevent you from swapping back out.
Level Low-Level Pets Against Wild Pets
For pets at levels 1 through 3, fight level 20 or higher wild pets that have the Stampede ability, which strikes three times per round for three consecutive rounds. After the enemy uses Stampede on your level 25 pet, swap in your low-level pet to absorb a hit, then immediately swap to the next low-level pet — each pet that takes damage after being swapped in earns experience at the end of the round. Expect roughly 20–23 damage per Stampede strike on a level 1 pet.
Tips
Time your pet swap to happen right after the opposing tamer's pet has just used a heavy cooldown ability, reducing the risk of your low-level pet being one-shot.
Pets at levels 1–2 are extremely fragile in tamer battles; level 3 pets survive tamer fights at roughly a 90% rate but still take hits that reduce their health by half.
