Rookie Pet Group
Raise 15 pets to level 10.
Rookie Pet Group requires you to raise 15 pets to level 10, meaning each pet must gain levels through combat — simply owning or capturing 15 level 10 pets will not count.
Capture Level 9 Pets
Capturing wild pets already at level 9 drastically reduces the number of fights needed to reach level 10. Stranglethorn Vale has level 9 pets that work well for this — park a character there to capture three at a time, then switch to your leveling character.
Level Pets in Dragonblight
Fight Dragonbone Hatchlings near stable master Risera in Dragonblight using a couple of pets already in their twenties. A pet starting at level 1 reaches level 10 in roughly 8 fights, while a level 9 pet only needs about 2 fights. After each batch of three pets hits level 10, release them and repeat with new captures.
Speed Up Low-Level Pets
To quickly gain experience on level 1–3 pets, find level 20+ wild pets that have the Stampede ability, which attacks three times per round for three consecutive rounds. Let Stampede hit your high-level pet, then swap in your low-level pet to take a hit, and swap again — each low-level pet that takes damage after being swapped in earns experience at the end of the round.
Tips
The achievement only tracks pets that are raised through leveling, so purchased, store, or already max-level pets do not contribute — only pets that actually gain levels to reach 10 count toward the 15 required.
