Friend on the Farm
Become best friends with one of the characters at the Halfhill Market.
Friend on the Farm requires you to reach best friends status with any one of the ten Tillers NPCs at Halfhill Market by gifting them their favorite items.
Choose Your Target NPC
Pick one of the ten Tillers NPCs to focus on. Each NPC has two favorite gifts: a found item and a cooked food. Farmer Fung at 48.2, 33.8 or 52.8, 51.6 prefers Marsh Lilies and Wild Fowl Roast. Gina Mudclaw at 52.2, 48.6 or 53.2, 51.6 prefers Marsh Lilies and Swirling Mist Soup. Old Hillpaw at 31, 53 or 53, 51.8 prefers Blue Feathers and Braised Turtle. Chee Chee at 34.4, 46.8 or 53, 52 prefers Blue Feathers and Valley Stir Fry. Ella at 31.4, 58 or 53, 51.6 prefers Jade Cats and Shrimp Dumplings. Fish Fellreed at 41.6, 30 or 52.8, 51.8 prefers Jade Cats and Twin Fish Platters. Jogu the Drunk at 53.6, 52.6 or 52.6, 49.2 prefers Apples and Sauteed Carrots. Sho at 29.4, 30.4 prefers Apples and Eternal Blossom Fish. Tina Mudclaw prefers Ruby Shards and Fire Spirit Salmon. Haohan Mudclaw at 44.4, 34 prefers Ruby Shards and Char Broiled Tiger Steak.
Gift Items Daily
Visit your chosen NPC each day and give them both of their favorite items to gain reputation. Repeating this daily across multiple days will build your standing until you reach best friends status and unlock the achievement.
Track Remaining Reputation
The reputation bar for Tillers NPCs can display incorrectly, showing a full bar before you have actually reached maximum standing. Find Dark Soil Faster
Dark Soil containers that yield gifting items can also be found on low-population realms. Grouping with a friend on a different realm can give you access to their realm's Dark Soil spawns, increasing the number of gift items you can collect each session.
