Return to Sender
Defeat General Pa'valak while he has 20 stacks of Detonate in the Siege of Niuzao Temple on Heroic Difficulty.
Return to Sender is a 10-point Heroic difficulty achievement earned by defeating General Pa'valak in the Siege of Niuzao Temple while he has 20 stacks of Detonate.
Enter Siege of Niuzao Temple
Enter the Siege of Niuzao Temple on Heroic difficulty and damage General Pa'valak down to 65%, at which point he retreats and casts a shield on himself. He repeats this at 35%.
Position for Bomb Phase
When General Pa'valak activates his shield, adds will spawn — position yourself spread out around the boss and stand still in one spot, waiting for bombs to fall near you within roughly 20 yards rather than running in circles, as staying stationary allows you to collect 25 or more stacks.
Throw Bombs at General Pa'valak
Bombs take a few seconds to arm after landing; pick them up and throw them at General Pa'valak to break his shield and apply stacks of Detonate — each throw applies one stack, and the bombs will also kill nearby small adds if the tank keeps them close to the boss.
Reach 20 Stacks Then Kill
Throw bombs at General Pa'valak until he has at least 20 stacks of Detonate, then defeat him to earn the achievement — note that as of patch 6.1 the boss no longer dies from bomb damage before reaching 20 stacks, so there is ample time to accumulate them.
Tips
To reduce bomb damage to the boss during early attempts and preserve his health for more bomb phases, four group members can remove their gear entirely, leaving only the healer geared to handle damage from Tempest and to manage add aggro with area abilities.
See the video guides linked for a visual walkthrough of the bomb positioning and throwing strategy.
