Hate Leads to Suffering
Defeat Taran Zhu while every party member is at maximum hatred in Shado-Pan Monastery on Heroic Difficulty.
Hate Leads to Suffering is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Taran Zhu in Shado-Pan Monastery on Heroic difficulty while every party member has a full hatred bar.
Enter Shado-Pan Monastery
Enter Shado-Pan Monastery on Heroic difficulty and engage Taran Zhu. You can solo this at max level.
Stop Damage at 10%
Deal damage to Taran Zhu until he reaches around 10% health, then have everyone stop all damage completely and wait for every party member's hatred bar to reach 100%.
Understand the Hate Debuff
A full hatred bar applies a debuff granting +20% physical damage but inflicting -25% healing done and -90% hit chance, so the boss will take longer to die once you resume attacking.
Do Not Meditate After Full Bars
Once every party member has a full hatred bar, do not use Meditate, as it resets your hatred bar and will undo the requirement. Use Buff Food and Elixirs to offset the -90% hit chance penalty as you finish the kill.
Grab the Unerring Blades Buff
There is a buff called Unerring Blades located at 46, 65 on top of a hill with graveyards inside Shado-Pan Monastery. Obtaining this buff removes the hit penalty from a full hatred bar, leaving only the healing reduction to manage. Reaching the plateau requires creative movement such as using a Goblin Glider from on top of the tiger statue after the Sha of Violence boss, or using engineering items like Flexweave Underlay with Nitro Boosts and Burning Rush past the trash pack before the first bridge after Sha of Violence.
