Wailing Caverns
Defeat Mutanus the Devourer.
The 'Wailing Caverns' achievement awards 10 points for defeating Mutanus the Devourer at the end of the Wailing Caverns dungeon escort event in Northern Barrens.
Enter Wailing Caverns
Head to the Wailing Caverns cave entrance at 39.05, 69.59 in Northern Barrens, then proceed into the dungeon portal at 55.41, 64.88 in Northern Barrens.
Defeat the Four Bosses
Kill all four required bosses inside the dungeon: Lady Anacondra, Lord Cobrahn, Lord Pythas, and Lord Serpentis. These are the only bosses needed to trigger the final event.
Start the Escort Event
Return to the Disciple of Naralex standing at the dungeon entrance and begin the escort. During the escort, three level 20 non-elite mobs will need to be killed along the way. The full escort takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Survive the Spawn Waves
After the escort reaches its destination, three waves of mobs spawn with a short break between each. The first two waves consist of non-elite level 20 mobs. Wait for each wave of mobs to leave the water or begin attacking the Disciple of Naralex before killing them, as killing them while still in the water can bug the event and force a full reset.
Defeat Mutanus the Devourer
Mutanus the Devourer appears after the mob waves are cleared. Defeat him to complete the achievement and unlock your 10 points.
Tips
As of patch 3.3, if you previously completed the quest that Mutanus drops before achievements were implemented, the achievement was retroactively awarded without needing to return to the dungeon.
