Heroic: Warlord Zon'ozz
Defeat Warlord Zon'ozz in Dragon Soul on Heroic Difficulty.
Heroic: Warlord Zon'ozz is earned by defeating Warlord Zon'ozz in the Dragon Soul raid on Heroic difficulty.
Enter Dragon Soul
Enter the Dragon Soul raid and make your way to Warlord Zon'ozz. At max level you can enter and defeat him solo.
Manage the Void Orb
Keep bounces short and frequent rather than trying to extend the time between them. Shorter bounces increase overall damage on the boss and reduce the number of Psychic Drain casts the tank takes before the tentacle phase begins.
Aim for 7 Bounces
The orb spawns on a 90-second timer and the dark phase lasts 30 seconds, so bouncing fewer than 7 times leaves dead time between phases where no new orb is active, resulting in fewer stacks on the boss. Bouncing 7 times maximizes the stacks applied to Warlord Zon'ozz.
Handle the Tentacle Phase
During the dark phase, assign players to the tentacles behind the boss and near the entrance, and have a tank with melee cleave the big tentacle while hitting the boss. Markers help coordinate which group handles which tentacles. Prioritize the eyes as the most important damage targets during this phase.
Defeat Warlord Zon'ozz
After the tentacle phase, tank the boss near where the big tentacle was and burn him down. Burn all cooldowns after the final orb absorb to finish the fight and earn the achievement.
