Raise an Army for the Sanctum of Light
Recruit 20 Troops as a Paladin.
Raise an Army for the Sanctum of Light is a Paladin achievement worth 5 points that rewards the Silver Hand Weapon Rack decor item, earned by recruiting a total of 20 troops across any Paladin characters on your account.
Recruit Troops via Mission Table
Use the Battle for Azeroth mission table to recruit troops on any Paladin character, as this achievement is warbound and all troop recruits across multiple Paladins count toward the 20 total.
Kill Troops to Recruit More
You cannot recruit new troops while you still have existing ones, and you cannot manually dismiss troops — to free up slots, send troops on missions with the Lethal hazard (green skull icon) and do NOT counter it, causing troops to lose all vitality and die.
Buy Argus Troops for Speed
If your character has completed the Argus questline, you can purchase
Lightforged Bulwark from an NPC in the Vindicaar for
150 Order Resources (900 for additional ones each week),
Krokul Ridgestalker from an NPC in Krokuun, and
Void-Purged Krokul from an NPC in Eredath — you can hold up to 7 of each Argus troop type (Unique 5, requiring 2 purchases) and they have no 30-minute recruit wait time, letting you cycle through deaths faster and finish the achievement in roughly 5–6 logins.
Tips
This achievement is only completable on Retail and cannot be earned on legacy or private server versions of the game.
If your Legion champions are too powerful to fail missions, rely on the Lethal hazard missions specifically rather than normal mission failures to kill troops.
