Raise an Army for the Hall of the Guardian
Recruit 20 Troops as a Mage.
Raise an Army for the Hall of the Guardian is a 5-point Mage achievement earned by recruiting 20 Troops at the Hall of the Guardian, rewarding the Tirisgarde War Map decor item.
Locate Both Recruiters
Troops can be recruited from Grand Conjurer Mimic inside the Hall of the Guardian, and also from Archmage Omniara at 87.89, 47.40, who is located outside. During the Feast of Winter Veil holiday, the Kirin Tor Guardian Recruiter can be found standing under the large Christmas tree.
Speed Up Progress With Argus Troops
If your character has completed Argus questing, you can purchase 
Krokul Ridgestalker and 
Void-Purged Krokul from NPCs in Vindicaar (Krokuun) and Eredath for 
150 Order Resources each ( 900 Order Resources for additional purchases per week); since these are Unique (5), buy up to 7 of each type and use 2 of each to stay within the cap, giving you up to 7 troops cycling at once instead of 3, reducing completion to roughly 5–6 logins.
Kill Troops to Recruit More
Troops cannot be manually dismissed, so to recruit new ones you must run their vitality to zero by sending them on missions — look for missions with the Lethal hazard (green skull) and do NOT counter it so the troops die and free up slots for new recruits.
Use BfA Mission Table for Credit
Recruiting troops from the Battle for Azeroth mission table also counts toward this achievement, but you must follow the same rule: kill existing troops first before new ones can be recruited.
Share Progress Across Mages
This achievement is warbound, so troops recruited on any of your Mage characters all count toward the same 20-troop total.
Tips
The
Lightforged Bulwark is also purchasable from NPCs in the Vindicaar for Order Resources, providing another troop option if you have completed Argus content.
