Family Battler of Northrend
Complete the following achievements.
Family Battler of Northrend requires you to defeat specific Northrend pet battle trainers using pets from each family type, rewarding the pet Webbers upon completion.
Defeat Beegle Blastfuse
Challenge Beegle Blastfuse at 28.6, 33.8 in Howling Fjord. For Beast family, use Infernal Pyreclaw with Adrenaline Rush, Cleave, and Great Sting — keep Great Sting up and spam Cleave. Pair with Zandalari Anklerender and a Spider such as Tarachnid Stalker to absorb high-damage two-round abilities like Fly and Burrow using Brittle Webbing and Spiderling Swarm. For Dragonkin family, open with Nexus Whelpling using Arcane Storm then Mana Surge, follow with Twilight Clutch-Sister using Twilight Fire until the enemy drops below 50% health to trigger the Dragonkin passive, then use Twilight Meteorite and clean up with Emerald Proto-Whelp. For Critter family, start with Damp Skrat's Great Sting, swap to Lovebird Hatchling for Pheromones, and rotate to Perky Pug to clean up. For Aquatic family, use Snarly, Toothy, and Muckbreath — maintain Rip, use Blood in the Water whenever available, and Surge in between.
Defeat Okrut Dragonwaste
Challenge Okrut Dragonwaste at 59, 77 in Dragonblight. For Beast family, use the same team of Infernal Pyreclaw, Zandalari Anklerender, and Tarachnid Stalker, keeping Great Sting active and spamming Cleave. For Dragonkin, prioritize Arcane Storm before Mana Surge with Nexus Whelpling, then switch to Twilight Clutch-Sister once the Dragonkin passive is active and finish with Emerald Proto-Whelp. For Critter, rotate Great Sting and Pheromones as the primary damage sources. For Aquatic, maintain Rip and use Blood in the Water on cooldown with all three Crocolisk pets.
Defeat Major Payne
Challenge Major Payne at 77.4, 19.6 in Icecrown. For Critter family, lead with Lovebird Hatchling instead of Damp Skrat — use Pheromones immediately then stun the enemy, keeping Major Payne's Bear pet in the backline as long as possible. For Beast, Dragonkin, and Aquatic families, use the same team strategies outlined in the earlier steps.
Defeat Nearly Headless Jacob
Challenge Nearly Headless Jacob at 50.2, 59 in Zul'Drak. Use the same Beast, Dragonkin, Critter, and Aquatic team compositions described in the earlier steps.
Defeat Gutretch
Challenge Gutretch at 13.2, 66.8 in Zul'Drak. Use the same Beast, Dragonkin, Critter, and Aquatic team compositions described in the earlier steps.
