50 Coins of Ancestry
Receive 50 Coins of Ancestry.
The '50 Coins of Ancestry' achievement requires you to collect 50 Coins of Ancestry from NPCs scattered across Azeroth and Outland during the Lunar Festival event.
Plan Your Route
There are 75 Coins of Ancestry total across Azeroth and Outland, so you only need to collect 50 of them. At level 80, expect around 5 to 6 hours to complete the full run, including visits to enemy capitals and instances.
Stock Up on Dumplings
Purchase Festival Dumplings before you begin — they are the fastest mana recharge in the game when taken alongside water, saving significant downtime during your run.
Visit Kalimdor Alliance Cities
Collect coins from Bladeswift at 33.6, 15.1 in Darnassus, then travel to Ironforge to find Bronzebeard at 28.1, 17, and finish with Hammershout at 36, 66 in Stormwind City.
Visit Horde Capital Cities
Head to Undercity and find Darkcore at 67.4, 39.1, then collect from Darkhorn at 40.9, 32.9 in Orgrimmar, and finish with Ezra Wheathoof at 72.2, 23.5 in Thunder Bluff. Note that level 75 and 80 elite guards protect enemy capitals, so being level 80 or having stealth is strongly recommended.
Collect Kalimdor Zone Coins
Gather coins from Riversong at 35.4, 48.9 in Ashenvale, Skygleam at 72.4, 84.9 in Azshara, Starweave at 36.7, 46.6 in Darkshore, Runetotem at 53.1, 43.5 in Durotar, Nightwind at 37.7, 52.9 in Felwood, and Grimtotem at 76.7, 37.7 in Feralas.
Complete Remaining Coins
Continue collecting coins from remaining NPCs across Azeroth and Outland until you reach 50 total — instances such as Stratholme require a key to access, so obtain it beforehand if you plan to include those locations.
Tips
Enemy capital city coins are harder to reach due to level 75 and 80 elite guards — tackle those first while your consumables are fresh, or use a class with stealth to avoid combat.
You only need 50 of the 75 available coins, so you can skip harder-to-reach locations such as contested instances if needed.
