The '5 Coins of Ancestry' achievement is earned by receiving 5 Coins of Ancestry from Elders scattered throughout Azeroth during the Lunar Festival event, which runs for approximately 21 days starting on the second-to-last Sunday of January and ending on the second Saturday of February.
Wait for Lunar Festival
Coins of Ancestry can only be obtained during the Lunar Festival event, which runs for 21 days beginning on the second-to-last Sunday of January and ending on the second Saturday of February.
Locate and Speak to Elders
Travel to Elders spread across Azeroth and speak with each one to receive a Coin of Ancestry — you need only 5 coins total for this achievement.
Visit Horde-Accessible Elders
For Horde players, five convenient Elders are Elder Darkcore in Undercity, Elder Graveborn in Tirisfal Glades, Elder Ironband in Searing Gorge, Elder Moonstrike in Western Plaguelands, and Elder Wheathoof in Thunder Bluff — speaking to any 5 Elders across Azeroth will complete the achievement.
Spend Coins on Festival Rewards
Any extra Coins of Ancestry beyond the 5 required can be spent on items such as the 
Lunar Lantern, 
Festive Green Dress, 
Festive Purple Dress, 
Festive Pink Dress, 
Festive Black Pant Suit,
