Darkmoon Defender
Turn in all three battleground Darkmoon Artifacts.
Darkmoon Defender is a 10-point achievement earned by turning in all three battleground Darkmoon Artifacts: the
Fallen Adventurer's Journal, the
Banner of the Fallen, and the
Captured Insignia.
Obtain Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide
Pick up the
Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide from Selina Dourman, located in the first tent on the left as you enter the Darkmoon Faire grounds on Darkmoon Island, and keep it in your bags at all times while farming.
Farm Artifacts in Battlegrounds
Queue for battlegrounds such as Warsong Gulch or Alterac Valley, then loot enemy player corpses and use Remove Insignia on them to collect the three artifacts; all three artifact types drop this way.
Turn In All Three Artifacts
Return to the Darkmoon Faire and turn in each of the three artifact quests — The Captured Journal, A Captured Banner, and The Enemy's Insignia — to complete the achievement; note that each quest can only be completed once per monthly Darkmoon Faire festival.
Tips
Artifact drop items are not Bind on Pickup and can be purchased from other players on the Auction House if you want to skip farming.
Artifacts can still be looted from battleground corpses even when the Darkmoon Faire is not currently in town, so you can farm them at any time during the month.
