Turn in all five dungeon Darkmoon Artifacts.

Darkmoon Dungeoneer is a 10-point achievement earned by turning in all five Darkmoon Faire dungeon artifacts — Imbued Crystal, Monstrous Egg, Mysterious Grimoire, Ornate Weapon, and A Treatise on Strategy — during a single Darkmoon Faire.

1

Obtain Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide

When you arrive at the Darkmoon Faire grounds on Darkmoon Island, speak with Selina Dourman in the first tent on your left and obtain the Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide. You must have this item in your bags or you will not be able to loot any of the five dungeon artifacts.

2

Farm Dungeons for All Five Artifacts

Queue for dungeons appropriate to your character's level and defeat bosses to loot the five artifacts — each boss drops a specific artifact at roughly a 33% drop rate, with normal-mode dungeons dropping the Imbued Crystal, Monstrous Egg, Mysterious Grimoire, and Ornate Weapon, while A Treatise on Strategy drops in heroic-mode dungeons.

3

Hold All Items Before Turning In

Do not turn in any artifacts until you have all five in hand during the same Darkmoon Faire, because all five must be turned in within a single faire period — if the faire ends before you turn them all in, your progress resets and you must collect all five again next month.

Tips

  • A Treatise on Strategy drops specifically in heroic-mode dungeons, while the other four artifacts drop in normal-mode dungeons, so run both difficulties to collect everything efficiently.

  • Once you have turned in an artifact for its quest reward, you can still loot that artifact again from the same boss and sell it on the Auction House or trade it to other players, but you cannot turn it in again until the following month's Darkmoon Faire.
