Ludicrous Speed
While on the quest Call the Flock in Mount Hyjal, obtain 65 stacks of Soar.
Ludicrous Speed requires you to accumulate 65 stacks of the Soar buff while on the quest Call the Flock in Mount Hyjal, by collecting birds without letting the speed buff drop off.
Understand the Soar Stacks
The Soar buff is granted by collecting birds of different sizes: each large bird grants 15% speed (2 available), each medium bird grants 5% (5 available), and each small bird grants 1% (12 available), for a maximum of 67 stacks — you need 65 to earn the achievement.
Collect Birds Without Dropping Buff
You must collect all but 2 birds without letting the Soar buff expire between pickups, as each bird type has a limited number available and cannot be recollected once gathered — timing your route to minimize gaps between birds is essential.
Use Abandon Quest Method
While in Wings of Aviana form, abandon the Call the Flock quest — you will remain in form and retain the ability to collect birds with no quest limit imposed, allowing you to freely gather birds until the achievement triggers, then reacquire the quest to complete it normally.
Join a Raid Group Instead
Alternatively, joining a raid group prevents quest credit from being awarded for collected birds, meaning bird spawns are not consumed toward your quest total — fly around collecting birds like Goldwing Hawks repeatedly until 65 stacks are reached.
Tips
