Complete each Fish or Cut Bait achievement.

Gone Fishin' is a meta-achievement worth 10 points that requires completing each Fish or Cut Bait achievement across the Alliance and Horde fishing daily quest hubs.

1

Understand daily quest limits

You can only complete one fishing daily and one cooking daily per day across all cities. Accepting a quest from one city causes the other two quest markers to disappear, so pick your city each day deliberately.

2

Visit Alliance fishing daily NPCs

Alliance fishing dailies are offered by Grimnur Stonebrand and Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge, Catherine Leland in Stormwind, and Astaia in Darnassus. Complete fishing dailies from these hubs to progress the Fish or Cut Bait criteria for each city.

3

Visit Horde fishing daily NPCs

Horde fishing dailies are available in Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, and Undercity. Complete fishing dailies from each of these hubs to fulfill their respective Fish or Cut Bait criteria.

4

Note the Shiny Baubles bug

During the Midnight prepatch on February 16, 2026, at least one player received this achievement without completing Fish or Cut Bait: Thunder Bluff, specifically while missing the Shiny Baubles daily quest criteria. This behavior may be a known prepatch bug.

Tips

  • The fishing dailies in Stormwind (Diggin' for Worms) and Darnassus (A Slippery Snack) each grant +2 fishing skill on completion; Ironforge fishing dailies do not, so prioritize Stormwind or Darnassus if you also need to raise your fishing skill.

  • For Horde players, Orgrimmar (A Staggering Effort) and Thunder Bluff (Shiny Baubles) and Undercity (Like Pike?) are the three fishing daily sources required for the Horde-side Fish or Cut Bait achievements.
