Heroic: Alysrazor
Defeat Alysrazor in Firelands on Heroic Difficulty.
Heroic: Alysrazor is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating the fire hawk Alysrazor in the Firelands raid on Heroic difficulty.
Verify Heroic Difficulty
Before entering Firelands, set the raid difficulty to Heroic. Even if it appears set to Heroic already, re-select it under raid difficulty settings, as the instance can silently revert to Normal upon entry.
Handle Herald of the Burning End
On Heroic, Alysrazor summons a Herald of the Burning End in the center of the room. This add casts Cataclysm, dealing 50,000 damage to anyone within 5 yards of it. After casting, the Herald transforms into a meteor with roughly 150,000 to 160, 000 health in 10-man, which travels toward one of 8 walls. Use snares immediately when the meteor spawns to stop it easily before it reaches a wall.
Use Meteor as Firestorm Cover
Approximately every minute, Alysrazor casts Firestorm, dealing 100,000 damage per second to anyone not behind line-of-sight. Stop the Herald's meteor before it hits a wall, then use the stopped meteor as line-of-sight cover to block Firestorm damage. If the meteor hits the wall, it explodes and deals heavy damage to the raid.
