Defeat Majordomo Fandral Staghelm in Firelands on Heroic Difficulty.
Heroic: Majordomo Fandral Staghelm is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Majordomo Fandral Staghelm in the Firelands raid on Heroic difficulty.
Verify Heroic Difficulty
Before entering Firelands, set the raid difficulty to Heroic. Even if the difficulty appears to already be set to Heroic, manually recheck and reselect it before entering, as the instance can silently revert to Normal upon entry.
Manage Scorpion Phase
During the scorpion phase, have the tank use a defensive cooldown and absorb the first Scythe away from the rest of the group. Spread out immediately after the first Scythe hits to prepare for the transition into the cat phase.
Handle Cat Phase Correctly
In the cat phase, have melee deal with the spirits while ranged stay clustered. When the boss reaches 100 energy, move to avoid being hit by Leap. Fury stacks — gained each time Fandral shapeshifts — increase Scythe and Leap damage but do not affect his melee or other spell damage, so skipping Scorp damage and avoiding Leap hits becomes increasingly important at higher Fury stacks.
Defeat Fandral Staghelm
Repeat the scorpion and cat phase rotation, dodging Leap and managing Fury stacks, until Majordomo Fandral Staghelm is defeated to earn the achievement.
