Heroic: Ragnaros
Defeat Ragnaros in Firelands on Heroic Difficulty.
Heroic: Ragnaros is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Ragnaros in the Firelands raid on Heroic difficulty, rewarding the title Firelord.
Set Difficulty to Heroic
Before entering Firelands, set your raid difficulty to Heroic. Even if it appears to already be set to Heroic, manually reselect Heroic under raid difficulty settings before entering, as the difficulty can silently revert to Normal upon zoning in.
Defeat Ragnaros and His Legs
Enter Firelands and defeat Ragnaros — this requires killing both Ragnaros and his legs. At 10% health, Ragnaros rises from his lava pool and a new phase begins involving Cenarius, Arch Druid Hamuul Runetotem, and Malfurion Stormrage, after which Ragnaros heals to 50% health before the fight continues to its conclusion.
