Cataclysmically Delicious
Sample the following Cataclysm delicacies.
Cataclysmically Delicious requires you to sample a specific list of Cataclysm foods, obtained through cooking various fish, meat, and other ingredients, or by purchasing vendor food from innkeepers and specific vendors across Cataclysm zones.
Cook the required fish dishes
Gather fish from Cataclysm zones and cook the following: Baked Rockfish (1 Algaefin Rockfish from Twilight Highlands), Blackbelly Sushi (1 Blackbelly Mudfish from Uldum), Broiled Mountain Trout (1 Mountain Trout from Mount Hyjal), Delicious Sagefish Tail (1 Deepsea Sagefish from Twilight Highlands), and additional dishes requiring Fathom Eel, Lavascale Catfish, Sharptooth, Striped Lurker, Highland Guppy, and Murglesnout.
Cook the required meat dishes
Obtain and cook the following: Beer-Basted Crocolisk and Crocolisk Au Gratin (2 Crocolisk Tails total), Basilisk Liverdog (1 Basilisk Liver, found in Deepholm due to phasing issues in Mount Hyjal), Blackened Surprise (1 Toughened Flesh), and dishes requiring Blood Shrimp, Snake Eye, Dragon Flank, Monstrous Claw, and Giant Turtle Tongue.
Cook the Chocolate Cookie
Craft the Chocolate Cookie using 1 Simple Flour and 1 Cocoa Beans, both of which can typically be found on the Auction House.
Purchase vendor food from innkeepers
Buy a Buttery Wheat Roll from Innkeeper Gryshka in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Innkeeper Allison in Stormwind (Alliance). When purchasing, shift-click to buy only 1 rather than the full stack of 5.
Purchase remaining vendor food
Buy Gilnean White, Grilled Shark, Highland Sheep Cheese, Roasted Beef, Massive Turkey Leg, Tasty Puffball, and Tropical Sunfruit from appropriate Cataclysm vendors. If the Oily Giblets or Rock-Hard Biscuit vendors in Mount Hyjal have phased out after completing Twilight's Hammer quests, buy Rock-Hard Biscuit from Zungam in the Zul'Aman heroic dungeon instead.
Buy food from Zungam in Zul'Aman
Enter Zul'Aman heroic and find Zungam on the second floor of a hut near the water leading toward the Lynx boss. Talk to him without freeing him — freeing him causes him to become a repair vendor and removes his food stock. Buy Vile Purple Fungus, Rock-Hard Biscuit, Fungus Squeezings, and Murky Water from him.
Purchase from Crucible of Carnage vendor
If any vendor food previously tied to phased Mount Hyjal is unavailable, buy it from Gronk Hamcheeks at the Crucible of Carnage, who stocks those items as of patch 4.3.
Tips
When buying vendor food sold in stacks of 5, shift-click to purchase only 1 at a time to avoid spending extra gold.
Do not free Zungam in Zul'Aman heroic — talking to him while he is caged lets you buy Vile Purple Fungus, Rock-Hard Biscuit, Fungus Squeezings, and Murky Water; freeing him removes all these items from his inventory.
Basilisk Liver must be farmed in Deepholm rather than Mount Hyjal due to phasing that occurs after completing Mount Hyjal quests.
The Mysterious Fortune Card required for one dish can be purchased on the Auction House.
