To the Ground!
Defeat Commander Springvale without allowing him to receive Unholy Empowerment in Shadowfang Keep on Heroic Difficulty.
To the Ground! is a 10-point Heroic difficulty achievement earned by defeating Commander Springvale in Shadowfang Keep without allowing his adds to cast Unholy Power stacks on him.
Understand the Real Mechanic
The achievement description is misleading — Commander Springvale can gain stacks of Unholy Power through his own Malefic Strike ability, which he casts on the tank. The achievement only requires preventing his adds from casting Unholy Power on him, not blocking all stacks entirely.
Pull Boss Around Corner
Pull Commander Springvale back down the hallway before his chamber and around a corner, positioning him far enough from his room that the adds are out of line of sight and cannot buff him.
Tank Adds Separately
Have a second player tank the adds at the bottom of the stairs just outside the boss room, keeping them separated from Commander Springvale so they cannot reach him to cast Unholy Power on him throughout the fight.
Burn Boss at Max Level
At level 90 or higher, Commander Springvale can be killed in seconds due to level scaling, making the adds a non-issue before they have a chance to cast Unholy Power on him.
Tips
If your group's DPS is high enough to kill Commander Springvale before the adds cast Unholy Power on him, no positioning or CC is needed at all.
If DPS is lower, use any available crowd control on the adds to buy time — shackle works on undead and is one of the most effective options for this fight.
