Ghosts in the Dark
Discover the secret buried beneath the Maw of the Void in Darkshore.
Ghosts in the Dark is a 10-point exploration achievement earned by jumping into the Maw of the Void whirlpool in Darkshore, fighting your way through an underground area, and turning in a quest dropped by a demon hunter.
Jump Into the Whirlpool
Travel to the Maw of the Void whirlpool in northern Darkshore. If you have a flying mount, dismount directly over the whirlpool; otherwise jump in from above. A cutscene will play followed by a loading screen that drops you into an underground area.
Ignore the Cenarion Druid
When you land, you will see a Cenarion Circle druid near where you arrive. Do not talk to her — doing so will port you out of the area before you complete the objective.
Fight Up the Embankment
Head up the embankment and kill the ghosts and undead along the path — approximately 2 ghosts before reaching the top.
Kill the Demon Hunter
At the top of the embankment you will find a demon hunter. Kill him and loot the quest item he drops, then accept the quest it provides.
Exit and Turn In the Quest
Go back down and speak to the Cenarion Circle druid to be ported out. Turn in the quest to Ranger Glynda Nal'shea in Lor'Danel to receive the Ghosts in the Dark achievement.
Tips
If you are unfriendly with the Cenarion Circle faction, the druid will not assist you in leaving — you will need to use your Hearthstone to exit the underground area.
