Realm First! Illustrious Miner is awarded to the first player on your realm to reach 525 mining skill, which requires training Illustrious Mining and farming ore in Cataclysm zones.
Train Illustrious Mining
Visit the mining trainer in Stormwind and train Illustrious Mining as soon as servers go live after the Cataclysm launch.
Farm Obsidium Ore in Hyjal
Fly to Mount Hyjal immediately after training and begin mining Obsidium Ore throughout the zone until you reach 470 skill.
Farm Elementium in Twilight Highlands
