Field Marshal
Earn a rating of 2300 in either Rated Battlegrounds or Rated Battleground Blitz.
Field Marshal is a Rated Battleground title awarded when you reach a personal rating of 2300 in either Rated Battlegrounds or Rated Battleground Blitz.
Understand Your Rating Gains
Your personal rating change per game is determined by the difference between the enemy team's MMR and your current rating. When enemy MMR matches your rating exactly, a win gives +12 and a loss costs -12. When enemy MMR is 100 points above your rating, a win gives more and a loss costs less, making higher-MMR opponents favorable to queue into.
Minimize Losses When Below MMR
If the enemy MMR is 200 points below your current rating, a win only grants +6 while a loss costs -18, making these queues highly inefficient. Avoid situations where your rating significantly exceeds the enemy MMR, as the asymmetric loss penalty will slow progress toward 2300 considerably.
Reach 2300 to Earn Title
Once your personal rating hits 2300 in either Rated Battlegrounds or Rated Battleground Blitz, the Field Marshal title is awarded. The next rating threshold above this is 2400, which awards the Grand Marshal title instead.
