Master Sergeant is a Rated Battleground achievement that rewards the title 'Master Sergeant' upon reaching a personal rating of 1400 in either Rated Battlegrounds or Rated Battleground Blitz.
Reach 1400 Rated Rating
Participate in Rated Battlegrounds or Rated Battleground Blitz and reach a personal rating of 1400. Your rating changes after each game based on the difference between the enemy team's matchmaking rating and your current rating — when the enemy MMR matches your current rating, a win grants +12 and a loss costs -12.
Leverage Favorable Matchups
When the enemy MMR is higher than your current rating, wins award more rating — for example, a +100 MMR difference above your rating yields +16 per win while only costing -8 per loss, making these matchups the fastest path to 1400.
Tips
If your current rating is well below the enemy MMR, wins grant significantly more rating than losses take away, so climbing from 0 to 1400 is achievable even with a losing record if you are consistently matched against higher-rated opponents.
