Complete the Neptulon quests in Vashj'ir up to and including Defending the Rift.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is a 10-point achievement earned by completing the Neptulon quest chain in Vashj'ir, culminating in the quest Defending the Rift.
Progress Through Vashj'ir
Work through the Vashj'ir quest hubs in order, starting from Kelp'thar and continuing through to the Abyssal Depths, following each quest as it leads to the next.
Accept Defending the Rift
Accept the quest Defending the Rift, which is the final quest in the Neptulon chain and tasks you with stopping the Naga from overthrowing Neptulon.
Complete the Cutscene Sequence
Once the quest is accepted, a cutscene begins aboard the submarine used earlier in the zone — no actions are required, as the quest can complete on its own while you watch; there are usable machines on either side of the bridge area that let you view what is happening outside during Part One, followed by a second cutscene in Part Two.
Tips
Turn view distance up before accepting Defending the Rift for the best experience during the cutscenes.
There are several quests started by random item drops in Vashj'ir — including Lady La-La's Necklace, Crumpled Treasure Map, and Tattered Treasure Map — that count toward the broader Vashj'ir quest total but are not required for this achievement specifically.
