Kill 12 Aberrations within 10 seconds on the Maloriak encounter in Blackwing Descent and then defeat Maloriak.

Aberrant Behavior requires you to kill 12 Aberrations within 10 seconds during the Maloriak encounter in Blackwing Descent, then defeat Maloriak.

Enter Blackwing Descent

Enter Blackwing Descent and engage Maloriak. The two requirements — killing 12 Aberrations within 10 seconds and killing Maloriak — do not need to be completed in the same encounter or even the same lockout.

Let Aberrations Accumulate

After aggroing Maloriak, wait without damaging him and he will begin spawning Aberrations over roughly 2 to 3 minutes. Wait until more than 12 Aberrations are present before acting.

Kite and Burst Aberrations

While Maloriak is in a long cast, pull the Aberrations away from him and use AoE abilities to kill at least 12 of them within 10 seconds to earn credit for the first requirement.

Defeat Maloriak

After the 12 Aberrations are dead, nuke Maloriak down to finish the encounter. If you already killed him in a previous lockout, you only need to complete the Aberration kill step in a new run, and the achievement will complete.

Tips

  • If pursuing Glory of the Cataclysm Raider and need both this achievement and a Heroic Maloriak kill, complete the Aberration requirement on Normal difficulty, leave the instance, switch to Heroic, then return and kill Maloriak to receive credit for both.

  • If Maloriak uses the red vial first, the blue vial will follow and can freeze you during the green vial phase, making Aberration management harder — reset the encounter until he opens with the blue vial instead.

  • Track the achievement progress in your achievement UI to confirm you received credit for killing 12 Aberrations before finishing off Maloriak.
