Kill It With Fire!
Defeat 3 Burning Souls during the High Prophet Barim encounter in Lost City of the Tol'vir on Heroic Difficulty.
Kill It With Fire! is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating 3 Burning Souls during the High Prophet Barim encounter in Lost City of the Tol'vir on Heroic difficulty.
Preserve a Fire Patch
During Phase 1, a fiery phoenix spawns and leaves fire patches on the ground. Before pushing High Prophet Barim to 50% health, ensure at least one fire patch remains on the ground — you will need it in Phase 2.
Enter the Spirit Phase
When High Prophet Barim reaches 50% health, Phase 2 begins and a dark blue phoenix spawns. Do not kill this phoenix yet — it must remain alive until the achievement is complete.
Spawn and Burn Soul Fragments
In Phase 2, Soul Fragments (ghost copies of your character) will periodically spawn and walk toward you. Position yourself so that the fire patch left in Phase 1 sits between you and the phoenix, causing the Soul Fragments to walk through the flames — this applies the Burning Soul debuff and transforms them into Burning Souls. Kill each Burning Soul while it remains in or near the fire before it reaches the phoenix, as the phoenix will consume them otherwise.
Kill 3 Burning Souls
Once 3 Burning Souls have been killed, the achievement triggers mid-fight. After the achievement displays, finish the encounter by defeating High Prophet Barim.
Tips
If the phoenix dies before you complete the achievement, leave the area and let High Prophet Barim despawn and reset — he respawns after approximately one minute, allowing you to attempt it again without waiting for a weekly lockout reset.
