Defeat Karsh Steelbender after he has reached 15 stacks of Superheated Quicksilver Armor in Blackrock Caverns on Heroic Difficulty.

Too Hot to Handle is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Karsh Steelbender in Blackrock Caverns on Heroic difficulty after he has accumulated 15 stacks of Superheated Quicksilver Armor.

1

Enter Blackrock Caverns

Enter Blackrock Caverns on Heroic difficulty and make your way to Karsh Steelbender. At max level you can clear to him solo.

2

Stack the debuff gradually

Move Karsh into the fire pillar to apply 1-2 stacks of Superheated Quicksilver Armor, then move him back out. Each stack increases the damage he takes by 5% and increases the damage his AoE deals to you.

3

Reapply before debuff expires

The debuff lasts approximately 15 seconds, so drag Karsh back into the fire pillar before it expires to add another stack — repeat this process until he reaches 15 stacks.

4

Burn him after 15 stacks

Once Karsh has reached 15 stacks at any point during the fight, the achievement requirement is met — you can then freely burn him down to kill him, as he does not need to have 15 stacks active at the moment of death.

5

Use defensives at high stacks

Pop defensive cooldowns once Karsh reaches 10-12 stacks, as his AoE damage increases significantly with each stack; if you have enough DPS, you can also burn straight from 1 to 15 stacks without resetting, provided healing can keep up.
