Battle for Gilneas Assassin
Get 10 honorable kills at each of the bases in a single Battle for Gilneas.
Battle for Gilneas Assassin requires earning 10 honorable kills at each of the three bases (Mines, Waterworks, and Lighthouse) within a single Battle for Gilneas match.
Track Node Progress
Run this macro to monitor your kill counts per node mid-match: /run for i = 1, 3 do d,_,_,q,_,_,_,_,_,_ = GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(5257, i); print(d, q); end — this prints your current progress for each base so you know which nodes still need kills.
Hold Two Flags Early
Start by holding Mines and Waterworks, as controlling two flags forces the enemy team to continually attack your positions, generating a steady stream of honorable kills at those nodes.
Bounce Between Contested Nodes
Move back and forth between whichever flag the enemy is currently attacking so your kills are distributed across all three nodes rather than concentrated at one.
Surrender Completed Nodes
Once you reach 10 kills at a given node, stop defending it and let the enemy capture it — holding a node after completing it causes your team to win the match too quickly, cutting off time needed at the remaining bases.
Farm the Final Node
In the second half of the match, push to the last incomplete node and hold it without capping, allowing enemies who respawn nearby to funnel into your position so every team member needing kills there can reach 10 before the node is secured.
Keep Enemies Near the Flag
An honorable kill only counts toward a node if the enemy dies within that base's zone — if an enemy runs away while nearly dead, prioritize enemies who remain close to the flag, and let fleeing targets go rather than chasing them outside the zone.
Tips
Reaching 10 kills at a node before dying acts as a save point for that node — kills at other incomplete nodes reset on death, but completed nodes are preserved.
Dying before reaching 10 kills at the current node resets that node's count to zero, so prioritize survival while accumulating kills at each base.
This achievement is among the rarest completed in the game primarily because matches frequently end before 30 total kills across all three nodes can occur — deliberately slowing the match by not capping nodes is essential.
