Earn Honored reputation with your guild — only then will ownership of Val'anyr count toward this guild achievement, ensuring the achievement registers to your current guild home.
Enter Ulduar and Farm Fragments
Enter Ulduar and defeat bosses to collect 30 Fragments of Val'anyr, averaging 3–4 fragments per run with a possible range of 2–6 per run.
Increase Drops via Hard Modes
Fragment drop chances increase on hard mode bosses: Flame Leviathan with all four towers active, XT Heartbreaker, Mimiron Firefighter, Freya with three elders up, Thorim with Sif still alive, Hodir speed kill, and Yogg-Saron with no keepers.
Use Fragments to Begin Quest
Once 30 fragments are collected, right-click them to combine them into Shattered Fragments of Val'anyr, which begins the two-part quest chain that rewards the legendary weapon.
Relog to Register Achievement
After obtaining Val'anyr, log out and back into the game to ensure the guild achievement registers correctly.
