Mighty Miners
Mine 100,000 ore and rocks.
Mighty Miners requires you to collect a total of 100,000 ore and rocks from mining nodes, where each individual ore or stone gathered counts toward the 100,000 threshold.
Understand What Counts
Ores and stones count toward the 100,000 total. Elemental items, gems, motes, crystallized elements, and volatiles do not count. A single node can yield multiple ore or stones, so each piece collected advances the counter individually.
Farm Silithus for Fast Progress
Fly circuits around the outer edges of Silithus to mine rock nodes. Old world zones can yield up to 8 stones from a single node, and few mobs interfere with mining in Silithus, allowing rapid progress.
Try Swamp of Sorrows for Thorium
Run laps around Swamp of Sorrows targeting Rich and Small Thorium deposits, which have fast respawn rates. The cave in the southeast corner contains 4 to 5 deposits clustered together, and the zone is smaller than alternatives like Winterspring or Silithus, making circuits quicker.
Use Your Garrison Mine in WoD
If you have a Warlords of Draenor garrison, the mine provides multiple nodes per visit scaling with mine level, roughly 8 nodes at level 1, 14 at level 2, and 18 at level 3. At level 2 and above, mine carts also spawn containing ore, and goren mobs have a small chance to spawn when mining and can be looted for additional ore. Work orders from the mine also contribute to your total.
Tips
Old world zones are the most efficient for this achievement because nodes can yield up to 8 stones at once, compared to fewer resources per node in later expansion zones.
Minerals gathered can be sold on the Auction House, offsetting time spent farming.
