Defeat Anub'arak in the Trial of the Crusader on Heroic mode while in a guild group.

Call of the Crusade - Guild Edition requires defeating Anub'arak in Trial of the Crusader on Heroic difficulty while in a guild group.

1

Stack Low-Level Guild Members

Bring only a few level 85 characters — specifically a main tank, two healers, and two DPS — and fill the remaining raid slots with level 80-81 guild members. This keeps the raid's overall health pool low, which directly limits how much Anub'arak heals during Leeching Swarm in phase three.

2

Nuke Phase One Quickly

Burn Anub'arak down hard in phase one, killing only the first wave of large adds, then force him to skip phase two entirely and transition straight into phase three.

3

Survive Phase Three

In phase three, ignore all adds and keep raiders at roughly 10% health using damage mitigation cooldowns rather than health-increasing abilities. Healers should focus exclusively on the tanks. Anub'arak does not burrow until around 75 seconds into the fight, so blow all major cooldowns once phase three begins to finish him before Leeching Swarm becomes unmanageable.

Tips

  • A shadow priest's Vampiric Embrace can passively support healing on the group during phase three, freeing dedicated healers to focus solely on tanks.
