Complete the Stonetalon Mountains storylines listed below.

The 'Stonetalon Mountains Quests' achievement is earned by completing the Stonetalon Mountains storylines, beginning with quests picked up just outside the zone and following a chain through multiple hubs across the zone.

1

Start at Stardust Spire (Alliance)

Alliance players should head to Stardust Spire, located just above the Stonetalon Mountains entrance in Ashenvale. Pick up the available quests there, including one that sends you to a logging camp to the northeast to rescue gnomes.

2

Start at Silverwind Refuge (Horde)

Horde players should go to Silverwind Refuge and speak with Blood Guard Aldo Rockrain to pick up the quest 'We're Here to Do One Thing, Maybe Two...' — Stardust Spire is Alliance-only and will not offer Horde quests.

3

Unlock the Gnome Questgiver

After rescuing the gnomes at the logging camp and turning in the quest, a gnome will appear at Stardust Spire who offers a quest sending you to Trueshot Point in Stonetalon Mountains. Complete this short chain, then return to Stardust Spire to continue.

4

Follow the Full Quest Chain

Work through the storyline in this order: Do Yourself a Favor, The Only Way Down is in a Body Bag, Return to Stardust, Field Test: Gnomecorder, then do Burn Baby Burn! and Hellscream's Legacy together, followed by Bombs Away: Windshear Mine!, Don't Look Them in the Eyes, and Windshear Mine Cleanup.

5

Collect the Illegible Orc Letter

During Windshear Mine Cleanup, loot the Illegible Orc Letter from the Windshear Overseer. This item starts a follow-up quest and is required to continue the chain — missing it is a common reason players get stuck at 10/60 quests.

6

Continue Through the Balloon Chain

After looting the Illegible Orc Letter, continue with Minx'll Fix It, Orders from High Command, Commandeer That Balloon!, and Free Our Sisters. While in the quest area for Free Our Sisters, also pick up the quest at the lake to the north, then complete Rumble.

7

Complete Thal'darah Overlook Quests

Head to Thal'darah Overlook, which is easy to miss. After completing Last Ditch Effort, Elder Sareth'na will offer Seen Better Days, and Sentinel Mistress Geleneth will offer Back to the Depths! and Putting Them to Rest — all three are required for full completion.

Tips

  • If you are stuck and cannot find any more quests at the flight paths in Stonetalon Mountains, check your inventory for the Illegible Orc Letter dropped by the Windshear Overseer, as picking it up unlocks the next portion of the chain.

  • The Thal'darah Overlook questgivers are easy to overlook; the quests Seen Better Days, Back to the Depths!, and Putting Them to Rest only become available after completing Last Ditch Effort.
