Desolace Quests
Complete the Desolace storylines listed below.
Desolace Quests is a 10-point achievement earned by completing the major storylines found throughout Desolace, a notoriously spread-out and grind-heavy zone.
Start the Naga Questline
Find Cenarion Researcher Korrah at Ethel Rethor and complete the full naga chain: The Emerging Threat, Slitherblade Slaughter, Going Deep, Wetter Than Wet, Deep Impact, Mystery Solved, The Enemy of Our Enemy, A Revenant's Vengeance, Return and Report, Official Assessment, and finally Naga Threat to complete this storyline.
Begin Karnum's Glade Quests
Go to Karnum Marshweaver at Karnum's Glade and accept Stubborn Winds, but note he will not offer further quests until you complete the quests from Thressa Amberglen and Botanist Ferrah first.
Complete Thressa and Ferrah Quests
From Thressa Amberglen complete Blood Theory and Calming the Kodo, then from Botanist Ferrah complete A Time to Reap, Pulling Weeds, and Taking Part. Finishing both sets unlocks additional quests from Karnum Marshweaver.
Finish Karnum's Remaining Chain
Return to Karnum Marshweaver and complete Ghost Walker Post Delivery, Device, Maurin's Concoction, Cleansing our Crevasse, and Threats from Sar'theris Stand to finish this storyline.
Collect Thunderaxe Mob Drop Quests
Kill mobs around Thunderaxe Fortress to collect drop-based quests from Bizby, Thunk, Ancient Tablets, and Malyk, as these are required for the achievement total.
Get Behind Closed Doors
Kill Maraudine Maulers to loot the drop quest Behind Closed Doors, which opens two additional quests and does not require entering the Maraudon instance.
Handle Steamwheedle Cartel Reputation
If your Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation has damaged your standing with the Steamwheedle Cartel, you must repair it before you can complete quests from Bizby (aligned with Ratchet), Smeed Scrabblescrew (aligned with Ratchet), and Melizza Brimbuzzle (aligned with Gadgetzan), as these NPCs end several required quests including Fletch Me Some Plumage!, Good Gold For Bad Tail, Heavy Metal, New Beginnings, Kodo Roundup, Smeed's Harnesses, Gizelton Caravan, Bodyguard for Hire, and Get Me Out Of Here.
Tips
Mobs required for many quests in Desolace are scarce and spread far apart, so expect significantly longer kill times per objective than in other zones.
Completing the Thressa Amberglen and Botanist Ferrah quest sets is a prerequisite that unlocks Karnum Marshweaver's remaining quests, so do not skip them.
