Cataclysmic Fisherman requires you to earn 75 skill points in the Cataclysm fishing category, which can be completed in approximately 2 hours by fishing in a single location.
Travel to Mount Hyjal
From Orgrimmar or Stormwind, use the portal to Mount Hyjal in Kalimdor. Behind the portal building there is a lake where you can fish to gain Cataclysm fishing skill.
Fish Until 525 Skill
Cast repeatedly in the lake — any successful catch awards skill-ups regardless of what you catch or where you fish, so there is no need to move locations. From 450 to 490, expect roughly 9 fish per skill point; from 490 to 500, roughly 10 fish per skill point; from 500 to 525, skill-ups come approximately 1 fish per point.
Tips
The final 25 skill points from 500 to 525 progress significantly faster than the 450–500 range, so the overall session takes roughly 2 hours total.
