Northern Stranglethorn Quests
Complete the Northern Stranglethorn storylines listed below.
Northern Stranglethorn Quests is a 10-point achievement earned by completing the required Northern Stranglethorn storylines, centered around Grom'gol Base Camp and Bambala.
Start at Grom'gol Camp
Begin at the Grom'gol flight path and pick up quests from Commander Aggro'rosh: The Defense of Grom'gol: Raptor Risk and The Defense of Grom'gol: Murloc Menace. A Lashtail Hatchling quest will automatically appear after starting the Raptor Risk quest.
Keep Hatchling Active
Keep your Lashtail Hatchling companion out at all times, as it is required to unlock the Favored Skull quest chain — one of the less obvious quest lines needed for the achievement.
Pick Up Nimboya Quests
From Nimboya at Grom'gol, accept Hunt for Yenniku, Headhunting, and Nezzliok Will Know, then use the Bubbling Cauldron to complete Speaking with Nezzliok and Chasing Yenniku's Fate.
Travel to Bambala
Head to Bambala and speak with Kin'weelay to receive The Mind's Eye, with the cave entrance at 66.42, 49.01, followed by Saving Yenniku.
Complete Mok'thardin Chain
Back at Grom'gol, speak with Far Seer Mok'thardin to receive I Think She's Hungry, then head slightly north of camp where the Lashtail Hatchling will trigger the Favored Skull quest.
Farm Mosh'Ogg Item
Kill Mosh'Ogg Witch Doctors or Brutes near the Mizjah Ruins at 47, 50 to obtain a drop item — picking this up unlocks additional quests when you return to Grom'gol, including the Disfigured Mosh'Ogg Hand quest that opens further quests at Bambala from Skeezy Whillzap.
Tips
If quest givers disappear after completing a questline, fly to a neighboring zone such as Duskwood and return to Northern Stranglethorn to reset the phasing.
The Favored Skull quest begins at Bal'lal Ruins where a small pile of skeletons triggers the Lashtail Hatchling — the hatchling must be active and out of its inventory slot for this to fire.
